A Matter of Acknowledging . . .

I came across with three erstwhile pals this morning when Sha and I went to the City Hall to give to the City Mayor’s office an invitation for the upcoming “Voice of the Youth” National Oratorical Contest sponsored by STI College – National Headquarters. This will be on November 26, 2010 at STI College, J. Catolico Ave., Lagao, General Santos City.

Though too little time of saying Hi and hello, but yet, I find it as really so gratifying! It had been several years now since the last time we had a great talk together when we held our get-together at a friend’s house for a thanksgiving celebration. We were like grade schoolers sharing the weekends escapades after being in school from Monday to Friday, and on the Saturday, goes somewhere for a relaxation and attend the Sunday service celebration.

Whewwww . . . reminiscing those great rewarding days with friends and classmates made me realized how awesome God was, and is and will be in everything our lives had been and will be into. He made us all reach this point in our lives with great joy and fulfillment, knowing that He had never left even a single moment in our daily survival.

We may pass several messes,  struggling moments, pains and bruises, and emotional mixed up. But never did I ever experience even in a single time that God’s grace loosened and His favor slackened off. . . They’re all abounding in package.  God provides, God removes, and God  holds back, but He blesses more!

The long-gone days will remain to be part of our past no matter how we evade from it and no matter how we refuse to acknowledge its being part of our present. Those days maybe painful or joyous, maybe shameful or heartwarming, but what is important is that, God allowed them to happen to us to let us grow mature and totally become dependent on Him.

And one remarkable thing is that . . .  along the way, God is using the negatives to develop us to become a really deserving and growing mature person. Moving on and facing what’s up for the day optimistically, and totally dependent on God in every way and every situation will prove that the Lordship of Christ in our hearts is our  priority more than anything else . . . it’s just a matter of acknowledging!

1 Peter 5:10 (New International Version)
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ,
after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you
strong, firm and steadfast.
