Something Different, Something New!

Persistence is a quality that achieves something. Whatever thing of value in this existence that is worth going after requires the quality of single-mindedness. Persistence is nothing more or less than seeing your goal and then keeping on with the quest until that goal is reached.

Majority of the vital possessions in the world have been brought about by people who have persisted on trying when it appeared to be nothing is around for help at all. Never give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there's love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong. The principle that H. Jackson Brown, Jr. has in life is the same principle that I keep telling my daughter about... “Life doesn't require that we be the best, only that we try our best.”

In every endeavor, there is always something different and something new to be faced. We don’t just settle from where we’ve started. There is always an open door, a new one that God has in store for us.  Interesting how the fates of people can be intertwined about their gifts and talents and education. Who would have thought? This is not a knock against an education.  There’s a need to keep on learning after we have learned. All of life can be a school, if we will allow the lessons to become part of our personhood. Who knows what might happen in the future? Prepare now, build now, learn now – so that when opportunity comes knocking, you have an answer!

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth (2 Tim. 2:15). Life really is exciting! For too many of us life has been the same old routine, nothing is different, nothing new, and that’s so sad.

Something new or exhilarating  in your life is not reliant upon your sequential age, either . . . . you’ve heard an adage, “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” Have you given it a try? You can teach an old dog new tricks with a simple basic learning technique called “behavior modification.” Consider a job change or forming a new and better habit. There’s excitement ahead! Plan something different. Today!
